WORKSHOP OVERVIEW

 

Reflexology for babies & children is a specially modified reflexology treatment. It is very effective, yet simple and gentle. Treating with this light touch form of reflexology sooths and calms babies and children for babyhood and childhood ailments, which in turn effectively achieves homeostasis.  Babies and children respond very favourably to reflexology.

 

All of the techniques taught in this workshop may be incorporated into any reflexology treatment or as a ‘helper area’ at the end of a reflexology treatment.   

 

The Reflexology for Babies & Children workshop will cover the following:

 

  • About reflexology for babies and children.

  • Guidelines with hints, setup requirements and conditions for the treatment.

  • Before appointment.

  • Before treatment and first touch.

  • Conditions for treatment.

  • Caution cares & reminders.

  • Contra indications.

  • Holds and techniques for relaxing, calming, poor sleepers and feeders, colic, reflux, constipation, teething, colds, asthma.

  • Treating and and linking the Chakras included a re birthing technique for birth trauma on the feet.

  • Treating and linking the Vagus Nerve.

  • Closing treatment

  • What to expect during and after a treatment.

  • Passing on basic techniques to parent to assist baby or child is very empowering for parents.

  • Additional information and research.

 

A clear and concise manual with charts and notes will be provided.  A case history form will be included in the manual. A certificate and CPD credits will be awarded upon completion of the workshop (please bring CPD card on the day).  

 

Please note:

Refreshments will be provided to which you will have access at all times. Lunch will not be provided, but there are kitchen facilities available if you would like to bring a packed lunch.  There are also several shops, cafes and restaurants which serve lunch nearby.
